An international conference with the participation of Ministers and Representatives from climate change vulnerable countries to be united to raise the issues on climate change including carbon emission reduction is going to be held in Dhaka and targeting that conference SUPRO and Citizen Alliance of 22 organizations arranged a human chain on 13th November 2011, 11.00 am in front of National Museum, Shahbag, Dhaka. Speakers, in the human chain, focused on the adverse effects of climate change which is already taking place around the world and on the responsible countries for the anthropogenic climate change.
Sushasoner Jonny Procharavizan-SUPRO organized a Human Chain today, October 12, 2011, at Shahbag, Dhaka at 10 am to protest against the unjust policy and activity of World Bank, IMF and other IFIs as a part of celebrating Global Week of Action against Poverty 2011. In the Human Chain the speakers demanded for MDG announced promises of developed world, unconditional development aid, cancellation of foreign aid, confirming fair participation in business and development and stopping unjust influence of World Bank, IMF in development policy.

Speakers stated their opinion at the human chain access to information, right to know, freedom of press and freedom of speech are the hallmark of an undiluted democracy. Media’s freedom, democracy and good governance are as inseparable as the human rights. The right to information is the key to all other rights.
As a Bangladeshi citizen and also our society, continually we face various problems like lack of governance, lack of transparency, corruption; violation of human rights, democracy and its practices. Economically 40% people cannot get minimum calories, education facilities, health and nutrition supports and ultimately they are in the group of hardcore poor. The main causes of our development are barrier of access to information and freedom of express.
